The client, an interior designer, knew exactly what she wanted. She initially visited a competitor showroom drawn to its timeless Shaker aesthetic. The showroom was beautiful; when the quote came through, it felt ridiculously priced.

After discovering Shaker Wholesale on Instagram and visiting our Cirencester showroom, she sent her plans through to Jess for design development.

The detailing made the difference. Solid oak dovetail drawers, soft close runners, oak veneer internals and bespoke made-to-measure cabinetry along the back wall. The peninsula layout keeps the space social, with the sink on the main run so the entertaining area stays uninterrupted. Large pan drawers and internal storage keep daily practicality seamlessly integrated.

The cabinetry is painted in Portland Stone 77 by Little Greene, matched to Shaker Wholesale’s standard colour Palazzo 50. The soft neutral tone sits comfortably within the historic setting.

It is complemented by antique brass detailing, Cox and Cox handles, Nkuku lighting and OKA bar stools. Calm, layered, and entirely in keeping with the period of the property.
