We install or You Install
Two Ways to Receive Your Kitchen
We Install or You Install
We offer two distinct ways of supplying our kitchens, depending on how you would like your project delivered.
Some clients prefer a fully managed service where our team oversees the final stages of preparation, delivery and installation. Others prefer to manage installation themselves through their own builder or joiner.
Both approaches work very well, but they involve different levels of responsibility and preparation. The key differences are outlined here.
If you are unsure which route best suits your project, we are always happy to discuss this with you during the planning stage.
We Install
Where we are responsible for installing the kitchen, we manage the final preparation, delivery and installation process in full.
Measured Survey
Before manufacture is finalised, we carry out a detailed measured survey of the kitchen space to confirm dimensions and ensure the cabinetry is prepared correctly for installation.
Paint Preparation and Finish
Cabinetry is prepared at the factory with primer, undercoats and a spray-applied top coat. Once the kitchen has been installed, a final hand-finished coat is applied to achieve the consistent painted finish our kitchens are known for.
Delivery to Site
We take responsibility for delivering the completed kitchen order to site on an agreed date prior to our installation team arriving. This allows installation to proceed in a controlled and organised manner.
Self Install
Some clients prefer to install the kitchen themselves, usually working with their own builder, joiner or project team. In these cases the kitchen is supplied in a form suitable for site finishing and the client takes responsibility for measurement, collection and installation.
Measurements
For self-install projects we do not carry out a measured survey, and the client is responsible for ensuring that all measurements and dimensions provided for manufacture are correct.
Paint Preparation
Cabinetry is prepared with primer and undercoats and supplied with a final undercoat finish in either a Light Shade or Dark Shade, depending on the colour that will be applied on site. The final paint finish is then applied by the client’s painter after installation.
Collection and Transport
When the shipment has arrived at our warehouse and is ready for release, the client will be invited to arrange collection.
At the time of collection, our team will open and inspect all cabinetry with the client present to confirm condition and completeness before loading. Once this inspection has taken place, the client is responsible for loading, transport and onward handling of the kitchen.
